It's been an eventful week! After spending Christmas at Northside Hospital, it's good to be home. On Wed, Dec. 23, I had a partial placental abruption. Bascially, my placenta had a tear causing to bleed (as in gushing blood) as we were leaving dinner out with my parents. It was very dramatic and scary and the 4 of us rushed to the hospital. It was shaky for a while and the tear actually sent me into labor. The doctors thought we were going to have our baby girl on Christmas day! Luckily, with the amazing staff and good drugs, they were able to stop the labor. The amazing part of the whole process is that the baby is doing awesome! She's had no issues at all, just me. I was released from the hospital yesterday (12/28) and have been put on bedrest at home. That should be interesting knowing how much I love to sit still, but if it helps keep the baby cooking for a few more weeks, then so be it!! I am also wrestling with high blood pressure so I really do have to behave myself.
So, for now we are in a holding pattern, but it looks like baby girl will be here earlier than expected! The latest they will let me go is 38 weeks and today I am 34 weeks. It was an interesting and memorable Christmas!!

We enjoyed a great trip up to VA and NC to visit family over Thanksgiving! Making progress on the baby front - we passed our Glucose Tolerance test and start our two week appointments on the 14th of December. Time seems to be flying by at this point. We will be working on the nursery over the next few weekends!

Here We Are!!
We're giving this blog idea a shot. It's been a great way to keep up with our niece, Miss Juliana Reese Hinman.
We'll try to keep it updated and thought you might enjoy our countdown until Ga Baby Hinman makes her debut!
