On Tuesday, Stella had her 6 month check-up. She's doing very well, weighing in at 16 lbs, 3 oz and is 25.5 inches tall! She even jumped up in the height percentile to 55%. We think she is still going to be petite, but the doctor said she is doing great! We got the go-ahead to try all different types of foods. So far, Stella is enjoying rice cereal, sweet potatoes, green beans (her favorite... weird kid!) and apples. She's going to be trying sweet peas tonight. I am attempting to make most of her baby food and so far, so good - she tolerates my cooking at this point! She's also been practicing with her sippy cup. She definitely understands what to do with it, she is just having a hard time realizing that she needs to "tip it up" to get the water out :) We're working on sitting up - stay tuned for an update on sitting!

A Wonderful Vacation

We had a wonderful trip to Colorado! Stella was a seasoned traveler. She loved flying and charmed everyone around her. As much as mom was stressed about flying, it was really quite easy. Even the security staff at both airports were friendly and helpful. Mom was worried about being "those people" on the plane, but we had nothing to worry about as Stella Grace seemed to enjoy every minute.

Colorado was beautiful and refreshingly cool (especially after being a million degrees in Atlanta). We spent time in Vail, Edwards, Avon and Breckenridge. Fun activities included biking Vail Pass, a concert on the 4th of July, golfing, hiking and shopping! Of course, Stella's favorite part was playing with her cousins Juliana and Drew.
