Simon is 1 Month Old!
We had an exciting weekend filled with Christmas parties and a trip to the ATL zoo. Stella had a great time and was quite thrilled to get to see the elephants (el-fant in Stella speak). We also had Simon's 1 month check-up and the doctor was thrilled with his progress! He now weighs 9.6 pounds and is 21.5 inches long - he grew 2 inches in a month! He's going to be tall. Otherwise, he's chunking up nicely (as the doctor phrased it) and a very happy baby. We've been enjoying some non-Christmas weather here, so we've done lots of trips to the park!

Introducing Simon Anderson Hinman!
We're so excited to announce the early arrival of Simon Anderson Hinman on Wednesday, November 9th, 6:25pm. He weighed in at 7lbs, 15oz and 19.5 inches long; 5 weeks early! The doctor predicted that if he had gone to 40 weeks, he would have been close to 12lbs...yikes! Simon is doing very well and is spending a few days at the hotel Northside to catch up to his weight. While he was born at a full term weight, he is eating like a 35 weeker - slowly. Otherwise, he's perfect and very cuddly! We're hoping he'll catch up soon so he can come home and meet big sister Stella! Mom had a rough delivery but is doing well and is happy to have Simon here :)

Stella's "BIG" Brother
We had a "weights and measures" ultrasound on Friday and Baby Boy is weighing in at 6lbs, 10oz at 34 weeks! He is going to be absolutely huge! We are currently applying for football scholarships...
I had a brief stint in labor and delivery on Friday when my blood pressure decided to skyrocket. I've been given the "final warning" and if my blood pressure does not improve soon (as in this week), little man will be making an appearance very soon.
I've been put on bed rest and the grandparents have all been wonderful enough volunteering to help us out. The Hinman grandparents were in town last week to play with Stella and she had a wonderful time playing at the zoo and park. The Riley grandparents are taking this week's shift and Stella is very excited to see her pal "Kitty".
